USASF rules, divisions and categories help to create a safe, consistent and fair platform for cheer and dance athletes at All Star events and practices. Safety, followed by skill progression and fair play, is the top priority when setting or adjusting any rule or guideline. The USASF also establishes guidelines for best practices in areas of All Star not directly involved with safety rules, but important to the integrity of the sport.
The rules change process for USASF Cheer and Dance is consistent from season to season. For transparency and education about involvement in the rules process, please read each step below.
RULES CHANGE PROCESS
The USASF reinforces its rules and safety guidelines through coach credentialing to ensure that cheer coaches are proficient in teaching appropriate skill progressions and safety judge certification that equips safety judges with the knowledge and resources to enforce safety rules during competition.
The U.S. All Star Federation (USASF) has a mission to support and enrich the lives of our All Star athletes and members. We strive to provide consistent rules and safety guidelines, drive competitive excellence and promote a positive image for the sport. The USASF credentials coaches, certifies legality officials and sanctions events - all with the goal to provide the safest possible environment in which athletes may train and compete. Founded in 2003, we are a not-for-profit corporation established in Tennessee and governed by bylaws, officers, a board of directors and fifteen standing committees.
