The USASF is pleased to announce that Dana Fielding has joined the Cheer Rules & Safety Team as the Event Safety Administrator. "We're thrilled that Dana is completing our team in such an important role," says Ali Stangle, Director of Cheer Rules & Safety for the USASF. "Her background in a variety of roles in All Star will be very valuable in this new role."
Dana has over 25 years of experience in cheer as an athlete, coach, cheer director, judge, and Director of Judging and Scoring for GSSA/Aloha Productions. She served as the West Coast Coaches' representative on the USASF Cheer National Advisory Board, and is presently on the USASF Rules Committee and Worlds Score Sheet Committee. She also has worked internationally judging and assisting in judges training. She has been the head deduction/review judge at The Cheerleading World Championship for the last two years.
"I am really looking forward to providing in-season support for the roughly 200 certified cheer safety judges and working to ensure that education efforts are increased for safety judges in the U.S.," says Dana.
As Event Safety Administrator, Dana will be responsible for assembling and overseeing a team of Senior/Core Cheer Safety Judges to provide member support for rules, rules clarifications and legalities. She will also create and administer a system for tracking and analyzing rules violations that occur at events.
